Another 25 day tour is in the books–LA to Montana, Michigan, NY, VT, Maine and now home to VA. One odd adventure after another, constantly on the move, long drives, late nights and finally, the pilgrimage home. A new mission arises on the last day, a new motivation. The ride home is more deliberate than the usual travel day, especially when there’s a foot of fresh snow, the drive is 24 hours (no hotel stops ever on the way home) and the next tour lingers just 10 days in the future. If your crew is enjoying itself on this leg of the trip, the trip was a success. Next up: CO dates with Greensky, UT/MT with RRE, then a few Southeast shows and the LIVE record is upon is. The Duster onslaught is underway. Flea gives us a universal piece of advice in the great Chili Peppers doc Funky Monks that has never been more appropriate: ‘As long as we stay together and keep our love for one another and our love for the music, there’s no way that we’re gonna fail.’
